Velada del Año 5 in Sevilla

It could not be missed. The Soirée of the Year is becoming a gigantic event that grows year after year and has gone from being a novel and somewhat risky news item to being on all the country's agendas marked in red.

A lot has happened since that first edition in 2021 where Ibai Llanos put on the map an event where content creators, streamers and celebrities from all over the world would get into the ring.

It has had to adapt every year to a demand that has not stopped growing, making the event an event not to be missed, whether you are a boxing fan, a gamer or follow one of the amateur boxers.

In addition, every year it breaks the record for the most viewers of an event streamed live on Twitch. And this year, it looks set to break its own ceiling again.

Date, time and venue of La Velada del Año 5

In this edition we change location and go to the city of Seville. The Andalusian capital will be the epicentre of the internet the afternoon and evening of 26 July 2025.

So if you are in Seville, you are in luck, and if you are not, what are you waiting for to book your room at JOY and spend the weekend there?

Summer, Seville and weekend. If you add all this up, the equation results in a luxury getaway, but of course, it's very important to avoid the heat. Nobody is going to think of organising something at three o'clock in the afternoon, because it would be almost suicide.

And Ibai knows this, which is why the Velada of the Year will start at 20:00, seeking refuge from the cool of the night. By starting at that time, it is estimated that it could finish between 2 and 3 in the morning, taking into account the length of the performances and the fact that there will be seven bouts in total.

But where is Year 5? They couldn't have chosen a more emblematic venue; the Estadio de la Cartuja in Seville.

Prices of the tickets of La Velada del Año 5

Before you even consider the prices of the Evening of the Year, what you have to ask yourself is, will you be able to be quick enough to get one?

It's an event that has so many fans that tickets sell out in minutes, worse than a Coldplay concert. The prices have not been made official yet, and according to Ibai, they will only be made when all the performances are closed.

It is known that the prices will be very similar to those of the previous edition. Last year, in the Santiago Bernabéu, tickets in the Tribune area cost between 100 and 170 euros, those in the stands ranged from 35€ to 95€ and in the ring, depending on the proximity to the ring, the prices were between 100€ and 170€.

Although if you run out of tickets, or can't afford them, there is always the option of being one of the thousands and thousands of streaming viewers of the evening.

Confirmed fights for The Fight of the Year 5

Let's talk about what really matters, what you came to see; celebrities fighting each other. In previous editions, some boxing rules have been modified, including variations and even different types of fights, experimenting with new formats.

None of that. This year is a tribute to boxing as such. The participants have been preparing for months, and although helmet protection is mandatory, these amateur fights are as tough on the fighters as professional fights are.

First fight of La Velada del Año 5: Peereira vs Rivaldios

The first bout holds nothing back, there is anger, rancour and real hatred here. The good kind. The Mexican and the Galician have already had their ups and downs in other fights and in the presentation of this fight they almost came to blows. So we are off to a very strong start for the Velada 2025.

Second fight of La Velada del Año 5: Perxitaa vs Gaspi

Gaspi makes a big comeback. The Argentinian content creator, a living legend thanks to his unique humour, takes on another Spanish national myth; Perxitaa. As well as being an extremely famous content creator in the Spanish-speaking culture, Perxitaa is the president of a Kings League team, so there's a lot to like about this fight.

Third bout of La Velada del Año 5: Abby vs Roro

Abby vs Roro is like saying Twitch vs TikTok. The former had already ranting about the latter in a video, Roro was not amused and made it quite clear in the presentation of the fight. Another fight that is starting to heat up long before the bell rings.

Fourth bout of La Velada del Año 5: Andoni vs Carlos Belcast

So far all the fights have the common aspect of being very even, with very similar opponents. This may be the most evenly matched of them all. It's Mexico vs. Spain again, this time with two of the biggest names in content creation and bodybuilding. What a pair to fight.

Fifth bout of La Velada del Año 5: Alana vs Ari Geli

Did someone say Mexico vs Spain? Well come on, another one here. Third duel of nationalities between Alana, who already knows what it's like to step into the ring of La Velada del Año since last year, and Ari Geli who, although basketball is his thing, you can never trust him. It will be an evenly matched and, for sure, very entertaining fight. So far, the bar has not been lowered, and we only have two fights left.

Sixth fight of La Velada del Año 5: ViruZz vs Tomás Mazza

This is where it starts to get serious. So serious that it could be a professional level fight. ViruZz has been a full participant in La Velada del Año 5, so you can imagine how fine he is. But the guy in front of him is no slouch, he's in spectacular shape and also has boxing experience; Tomás Mazza has come to take ViruZz's temper down a notch.

The seventh bout of La Velada del Año 5: The Grefg vs Westcol

Although it might seem that the main course of the evening could be the main course, in reality the seventh and final bout is the one that will break all the audience records.

The Grefg will face Westcol, a content creator with a badass profile and who has already started to make his own trouble, demanding not to wear a protective helmet. This has caused the fight to wobble, as for safety reasons, the use of helmets is mandatory. Surely they will find an agreement and give us all the spectacle we are all waiting for.
